Can You Drink Tap Water in Heredia?
No, tap water is not drinkable.

Tap Water Heredia Costa Rica is not known for providing high quality tap water. Recently, a group of tourists from the United States stayed at a hotel in Tap Water, Costa Rica and reported high quality but relatively inexpensive tap water. The tourists had paid about US $bed for a "luxury" stay and was served bottled water, flavored drinks, and a variety of other "soft drinks". Apparently, some of this tap water was of very high quality, as evidenced by the positive test results on a laboratory test given to the group.
However, the tests were performed at a tap water laboratory in San Jose. The tourists were not testing their own drinking water. This is typical for most tourist destinations. Most tap water in Costa Rica is treated, but not by quality standards equal to those used in laboratories overseas.
