Tap Water Safety in Africa (Continent)

Africa's lack of clean water, sanitation, and hygiene costs Sub-Saharan African nations more in lost GDP than the whole continent gets in development aid. Depending on the country and region, economic benefits have been estimated to range from 3USD to 34USD for each dollar spent in clean water and sanitation. The 25 countries globally with the most insufficient access to safe water (19 of them African) dominate the top 50 countries with the highest child mortality. Between 23 percent and 59 percent of children in these countries endure stunted growth, and 43 percent to 91 percent of their populations have no access to developed sanitation. In between 18 percent and 68 percent of their people live below the poverty line. Source link: Africa Public Health Info
