In the town of Daxinggang, in China''s Shandong province, there is a tap water purification plant, and its owner is asking, is it safe to drink tap water from this plant? Yes, you read that right. The owner of this plant, Dr. Jian Sun, is making a big issue about the quality of the water he is selling to his customers.

So, is it safe to drink tap water from the Daqingæ©‹ plant? Yes, I was at his plant the other day and I saw the staff using the machine to clean the water. They were very thorough about ensuring that all of the impurities had been removed. They did not use chlorine, but rather an ultraviolet, or UV, light to kill the bacteria and other pollutants.

This is how Dr. Sun describes his business: "Daqingæ©‹", which is a shortened form for "Daquingæ©‹". "Daquingæ©‹" means "drain Water Purification Plant".

He says that his Daquingæ©‹ plant is the only one in the world that uses this technology to purify water.
