Tap Water Honiara is one of the most popular resorts in the Solomon Islands. It is also one of the least accessible, which adds to its popularity. The lack of road access makes this island destination an ideal location for trekking and other adventure activities. Despite this, the local population relies on wells for their own drinking water, which is not healthy. The island has excellent tap water quality, but no amount of filtration or treatment can hide the fact that Tap Water Honiara is still a poor quality resort town.
There are two main Tap Water Treatment Units available in the city. These are situated at the main Tap Water Processing and Refurbishment Plant (TVPRP) and the wastewater treatment and collection unit (WTP).
