The tap water at our Darlington home is tested on a regular basis by our local Public Health Service (PHS). All the tests we have done have been satisfactory and none of them have revealed any traces of cysts.

The testing of our drinking water comes from a well in a rural area of the city of Darlington. Our well is no deeper than six feet but it was chosen because it is closer to the ground. Our well pump is of an advanced design that is designed to give safe water every time. This well pump has been used since the 1930s and has been passed on to our family.

The area surrounding our well is ideal for groundwater, which is why it has been chosen as the source of our drinking water. There are no underground pipes carrying the water to our house. The groundwater is collected by our well pump and sent to the supply tank and from there to our drinking water faucets.

As with any underground source of water, groundwater contains certain minerals
