A new study published in Environmental Health Perspectives, the journal of the American Medical Association, shows that drinking tap water in the town of Ciudad Obregon Mexico is contaminated with at least five different types of harmful chemicals. The concentration levels vary from one person to another but they are all enough to cause health risks and damage the environment.

When scientists first tested the waters in the town, they found that all the water systems were contaminated. But the levels they found were way too low to be safe for drinking.
